Sorry I don't know your first name.

I made the presumption and I think I probably made the right one in thinking he was probably talking about the foam neck brace, seeing as he is just starting in karting and they are the ones that get purchased, not the other types that work in a similar manner to F1 head restraints.

If neck braces worked, you could be sure that the MSA would have us all using one but there has not been any conclusive research that came down on the side of neck brace.

The paramedic could not possibly know that the neck brace saved the neck from being broken, I'm afraid they were merely guessing or seeking to reassure someone because they would not have had the experience to make that assumption.

Thank goodness no damage occurred anyway.
