I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the kart rules and the car rules were different. I'm sure it's on the ABKC web site somewhere, it said the the 2014 re-draft of the kerb and white line rules were not applicable to karting. I'll see if I can find it.

That said, the SRs can amend most of the MSA's regulations ao as long as competitors were told beforehand it sounds like a good initiative.
