I don't race there often, but I raced at Dunkeswell this past weekend.

It seemed to go very well, apparently no-one visited the MSA steward and there were no visits to the CoC for driving related incidents.

Dunkeswell have instituted a track wide watch on white line and kerb infringements, if you are seen to cross the white lines or ride the kerbs while appearing to be in control of your kart, you get a warning, they hold up a sign saying "Kerb" or "White line" for the first two offences, a warning flag for the third and bring you in on the fourth.

It appears to have limited the number of deliberate infringements, and the zero-tolerance policy seems to have led to a drop in the number of driving incidents too.

Time is always an issue at Dunks, and they ran straight from the heats into the finals, on the grounds that with a one hour cycle of 10 minute heats, it was more than half an hour between the end of a heat and the start of any final.

And the marshalling on the Saturday, in atrocious weather, needs congratulation. Cold, miserable and heavy rain, karts spinning off in all directions from the standing water on the track and they performed continuously, when you knew that they had something better to do than stand in an open box on a hilltop.
