This was at an indoor corporate track in Kilmarnock not a MSA licensed track,or event.
Sometimes people moan about the way the MSA regulate things in karting and I can remember the outcry when chain guards became mandatory.
It's accidents like gins that cause insurance companies to insist on safety changes.
This is the third incident in recent years of hair or scarves being caught on an axle on arrive and drive corporate karts in recent years,
I wouldn't be surprised if some sort of axle cover suddenly becomes nececery for ALL KARTS due to problems keeping insurance risks down.
