Agreed. How many times has this been debated on here? Corner weighting is pretty pointless for a kart. A general balance for handling however does prove useful in that a relative front / read overall load split can pay dividends. If, as Ian pointed out, you move your head slightly even when using the most sophisticated measuring equipment on a certified flat surface you will see large and ultimately confusing results. Circuits are not perfectly flat, tyres are not of perfectly uniform sizes, you are never perfectly positioned in the kart at all times and even the fuel in the tank moving will effect the corner loads. If you re try your test using your scales and apply even the tiniest amount of steering lock then record the results you will be staggered at the changes on all 4 corners. This change is arguably more important than the static measurement as the load transfers around the kart due mainly to caster angle are far more meaningful to a chassis engineer and the general handling characteristics. Get on with enjoying your karting, ignore much of the paddock bull, if you just get the basics right you will be faster anyway.
