" The MSA's silence in all this is baffling and suggests it really is happening"
Other sources suggest that the message wasn't quite as cut and dried as it appears.
It might even have been a response to the often heard plea on here that the number of classes be cut, possibly along the lines of "What would happen if this was suggested as a solution?", expecting the answer "Don't be ridiculous".
Another suggestion I have heard is that the committee contemplated a return to "the old days" recalled by certain people here as a golden age of karting, by having two Libre classes; a 'quick' one, with a Rotax like performance; and a 'slow one' with a TKM like performance ( You might put TKM, Blue and 177s together for example). It's rumoured for example that some IKR tracks run all Senior classes together like this and and it is not unpopular.
It wouldn't be the place for the MSA employees (if any) present at that discussion to comment on the accuracy of the information leaked or the interpretations being placed on the information. Indeed the 'rules' may well prevent them from commenting and various people may well be exploiting that very fact; knowing how many of us think that 'the MSA' are entirely divorced from 'karting', even though all their decisions are directed by karters.
