thanks for the comments regarding my post. Can l just point out that l am the general manager of Clay Pigeon Raceway and not officially associated with Clay Pigeon Kart Club which hires the circuit monthly for their race meetings. We as a circuit, 100% support Clay Pigeon Kart Club and we have no intention of ceasing MSA racing. That is what the circuit was purchased to do and this company has always supported MSA racing. However, we are a commercial operation and as we have always done, we will continue to run and promote Non MSA racing. Tony Lee's from Endurance Prokart Series has recently restarted our Prokart Enduro series which are non MSA and the interest from Prokarters has been quite amazing for these enduro races and possibly a prokart sprint series (this being a dead class for MSA club racing for a while now), so there are people out there wishing to race but perhaps Non MSA. The reason for the original post was to discover whether there was anyone interested in promoting Non MSA Sprint racing with us here at Clay Pigeon Raceway which obviously will increase numbers coming into kart racing without the need to obtain licences etc. l can assure you if Non MSA racing is run at this circuit it will be just as well controlled, safe and insured as any other racing controlled by an MSA permit. MSA racing has become to expensive, to eliteist and beyond the means of the average working man, perhaps things do need to change!
