I have to say, reading this thread, this issue seems to me to be a pure and utter shambles.

I am not involved with this class so can only speak to what I am reading on here, but how can such 'fall out' be generated from what seems to have been an MSA introduced practice to ensure discrepencies are eradicated in this class/on this engine??

Did they actually do any 'research' in to this matter before implementing it??? ...surely somebody, somewhere was consulted and then tests done to make sure ALL possible risks are minimised so that when they forced it down your throats, there would be NO chance to have the outcome that this seems to have had!

I know there is a perception that MSA just do what they want when they want and I assume they are concious of that and do their utmost to avoid fuelling those beliefs .....

or then again, maybe not!!
