I think you make a good point.

It has appeared on here a few times lately where people are commenting on how the increase of classes on race days is affecting the amount of available track time, particularly at this time of year so to place restrictions as you suggest on the amount of classes would go some way to appeasing those people, me included.

However, the risk you run by going with your idea is that some may be 'put off' because they plainly don't want to race in those classes that are left.

...I know you have addressed that in your post, but you can sympathise with those people, especially relevant at the moment with the perceived impact X30 is supposed to be going to have.

Also, on that very note ..... by restricting the classes, you limit the 'competition' that comes from having wide choices - thats why we have ASDA AND Tescos AND Sainsburys AND Aldi etc etc etc etc. The other consideration is that with your suggestion, you are FORCING people to choose what is available rather than opting to use an alternative because that is what they want to do. I believe this would then affect engine builders, suppliers etc etc and have a wider ranging 'knock-on' effect.

There is no doubt that if you were intending to start in karting it is almost a minefield to decide which class is best given that you have a multitude of choices. This impacts on the grid sizes and can easily end up being 'too much trouble, so lets do motorbikes instead'

......and in any case, why would you choose anything other than TKM?
