The problem is there is no MSA definition of Top Dead Centre. The locking tool gets it close but if you use a degree dial and/or a DTI you would realise that there is still more to be gained, legally.

I understand from Kelvin that the instructions given to scrutineers is to use a degree wheel. If this was used and the flywheel position deemed to be illegal then someone has clearly pushed the boundaries too far unless, of course, you then use the DTI which clearly shows that top dead centre as a dwell of around 1.5 degrees at TDC. The absence of a specific definition and/or measurement make this a little too vague for now and it probably needs an MSA court appearance to define what is legal. Appeal anyone?
