Of course you're expecting too much. After all you should use your telepathy skills to know when its convenient for you to call or when they have sold things or when they are making a cuppa. They have to feel wanted and special somehow so how better that to get mugs chasing them.
Sorry...tried calling a well known association with a query on Thursday and lost the will to live in the q.
