Your right Buzzin and not every one can afford to race more than once a month.

So where a circuit is trying hard to keep their grid and hoping to get more drivers to come and race, these little championships which are springing up are not helping those clubs which are not involved. There are two Rotax mini championships based around the same clubs but organised so that they dont conflict with each other and they look an attractive proposition, guaranteed big grids, prizes etc.

After speaking to one of the organisers at Kartmania, you have to applaud him, his mandate was to get some big grids for him to race with, at the circuits closest to him and pay for his racing.

Now you could say its a dog eat dog world and those with the best grids will survive and its very hard to disagree after all its the drivers prerogative as to where he races and big grids will always attract drivers.

My issue is that with everything else going on in karting at the moment with more new classes, those clubs struggling to get decent grids are going to lose even more drivers to these little championships.

Who knows, maybe in a few years there wont be club racing, just circuits hosting lots of travelling championships.

The MSA wont care because they still get their licence fee and their cut from the racing fees. I would be very curious to see what the ABkC view on this is. Do they think its good for karting overall and for clubs in general.
