More to do with the Run off at last corner, 2nd corner up the hill. And now the hairpin! Basicslly you can make a "mistake" and not get punished by going off on the grass or having to lift so the person behind gets a run on you into the next corner.
Used to be much harder to drive. Same as rye was until it was all paved.
