Agreed. Most drivers want to progress through the novice stage as quickly as possible and test their mettle in recognised classes. Shelling out for a Tyro to race for a few months, or a season, and then have to incur additional cost to switch to an established class doesn't sound like economy to me. Not sure if a driver has to start MSA racing on novice plates after Tyro doing Tyro. Why does the class have to eat into MSA track time? I'm sure it would be just as appealing for drivers if it was run at tracks on non MSA weekends. Less sniggers from the MSA kids as well.
