We agree the word 'release' is silly. But.... I accept that drivers use the word to describe the sensation of the kart being 'released' from something. What is it that YOU are saying 'feels' like a 'release' to these drivers when you finally land the 4th wheel? How can 'adding' the 4th grippy (by your standards) tyre feel like a 'release' when you now have 4 tyres AND applied lock. That's the recipe for the very OPPOSITE of the sensation of 'release'!
You also appeared to be saying that the returning of the 4th wheel happened early in the corner.... well you did in your fist posting. In the latest posting, you confirm that you only return the 4th wheel when you have the kart straight...... then it sound EXACTLY like I was describing.....
Also, you suggested that Red Maxxis were somehow in a different league to the tyres we used to use...... errrrr..... I've used both and, I can assure you, yes they ARE in a different league..... our old tyres were the equivalent of the Premier League and Red Maxxis are in the Conference....
The Quallies used to last ONE LAP. If you never saw them used, you missed something worthwhile. Their behaviour was akin to the Brabham 'sucker' car! If I remember correctly, they'd drop the best driver's lap times at Rye by up to TWO SECONDS. They were UNREAL!
