........just seen the latest advert where he claims to be in scotland - I agree, that does seem a little strange if this is the same number you dealt with where he suggested he was in kent!
and, generally the people who use the market place will use this part of the site .......any response from this individual to the original posting???? ....not yet it seems
If this is a scam, then the individual will be keen to make contact with as many people as they can as that is where they will get the most money....try phoning that number from another phone, one that he won't recognise as yours?? .........try that and see if it is indeed the same guy you originally dealt with
if he has in fact put the stuff in the post, there will be a 'tracking number' or some other record .....get him to give you this and you can then check with Royal mail, or the firm he claims to have used. Do that by text and then you have a record of every time you have attempted to resolve the issue - all good stuff for when 'push comes to shove'!
of course, there may always be a simple explanation for the mis-understanding!! ......
