I have to agree that Karting is a hobby that my son and I really enjoy… I know we both take it a bit serious sometimes, but by the time we get home, win or loose, we look back and have had a great day and are already talking about his next race.

Yes, there are some crazy engines out there at the moment (which is how this thread started) – Honda in particular. But half of the fun is keeping up and taking these boys through the corners. That gives me more satisfaction that bolting on a 4k engine ever will. Anyone can drive fast in a straight line.

I don’t envy the people that buy these big engines or put there kids in teams. I can afford to do that - I choose not to as I also think that once you start spending big money, you take all of the fun out of it.
