Can anyone advise me if there is any way of knowing if a coil is faulty? I ask because the motor struggles to maintain high rpm. I started it on the stand (at home) and it gets to about 12K rpm and then revs in fits and starts. I changed the fuel, the plug, the carb and adjusted the jetting but it still did the same thing. I know a few people have had issues with their coil and have replaced them so this is my next step but is there any way to be sure or is it a case of changing it and trying again?
