Mick, Thanks for info. I think Josef has sent Tom a message on facebook to the same affect, so you can ignore that one. Yes, all that effort for you then it broke. Josef spent a huge amount of time T - cutting and polishing the frame just before the last meeting when it broke! Think it was part broke through for a while. We have another frame, so lets hope that one holds out. Josef & I love Fulbeck (real driver's track, loads of overtaking oppertunities etc.) and the people but something needs to be done about the barrier behind the second chicane entry kerb! Last year it was further back away from the back of the entry kerb, so you could hit the kerb central to the kart with two wheels on the correct side of the white line - not too hard on the chassis. Now you have to hit it hard with just the wheel = broken chassis eventually. Solutions are; 1. Repair hole behind kerb (reason for moving barrier in towards back of kerb)and move the barrier back to allow karts to hit the kerb centrally with two wheels still on the circuit. 2. Black flag ANYONE & EVERYONE whom hits any part of the entry kerb with any part of the kart more than once in a race. You will be quicker if you hit the kerb so the rules have to be the same for everyone. 3. Do nothing and people keep breaking chassis if you want to be quick / competative through the second chicane.
I vote for 1 and would gladly help repair any hole / part of the kerb. option 2 would be the second option and certainly better than option 3.
Cheers Paul
