Can't comment on the two strokes as we're in Hondas but I use the Bardahl chain lube and have had it tested on the dyno at RPM on a fresh engine and it definitely let the chain run freer and got marginally higher mean HP from its use.

Which is the upside, the downside is that it costs a bit more than the standard stuff, but then in the scheme of things it isn't that much and you will have to actually clean your chain and sprockets after each day and so for those reasons it's probably not for everyone.

Though I don't quite get the logic of some people who will spend £X,XXX on something to get more power but then cut corners and put themselves back where they started (obviously less their hard earned).
