I'd be very surprised if the likes of vega XM's/bridgestone YLB's would stay seated on a hot day on some of the tracks around here without them. The amount of grip they have is mental, and i suspect some people get down to around 8psi or lower with them, so i'd expect a whole lot of tyres popping off without the retainers. For the sake of 10quid you might as well have them?
