Thanks all for a lot of good info.

It happened last weekend at Wigan, Jnr Max Final 1, before the first corner. We were on the inside, a kart came across so hard and knocked my lad onto the grass. His bumper went inside our front wheel, ripped out the valve and clouted the bead retainer head. End of race and off to the back of the grid for Final 2.

I was surprised that a bumper could actually fit inside the wheel, checked with our own OTK bumper and it can! Maybe a rule change on height of bumper might be a good idea...for safety.
