The system really ought to connect to "Google Glasses".

That way the kart can analyse track conditions and work out where the driver ought to be steering.

Google glass will allow a track indicator to show not only where the kart ought to be, but also co-operate with other adjacent systems to give warning of intrusive driving, overtaking manoeuvres (both "Us" and "them").

The optional extender box will include stepper controls of steering, throttle and brake, with mixture and slow running as additional modules.

The ultimate aim must be to allow the kart to be entirely operated by remote control, karts to carry a mannequin in a bright yellow suit to indicate this status.

The club may then release sufficient fully autonomous drone karts on any grid to ensure all appear to be full. Any such drone winning a race will be disqualified.

Additionally, each such datalogger, when connected to a suitable 3d printer should be able to reproduce itself for minimum cost.
