We (Kart Crazy) have started design work on an all new, British designed, Lap timer/Data Logger. I'd be interested to hear what people want from a timer/logger. Cost - does it need to be under £300? £250, £200??? Data - apart from fastest lap, temp & RPM do many people down load and analyse data on a PC or lap top? If so what data most important? RPM, engine temp, exhaust temp, speed, G force, CO etc. Would you rather pay £200 for a basic timer that just recorded basic data or an extra £100 - £200 for a system that allowed down load and analysis on a laptop. Would you want live data to a laptop while the kart was on track? Would you want to send e-mail, texts and surf the web will on track?????? - these are all possible - but probably not desirable!
Any comments/feedback would be appreciated.
