I think the answer is not to make life easy for the 'impulse' thieves.
We put all the gear in the trailer, lock the door and rope it to the motorhome if it can't be attached to the towball.
Never had a problem but one year at Kim a trader had their trailer stolen during the night and that was alarmed and had tow hitch locks.
If someone is that determined.................
