Pay the extra and go mychron 4 its much easier to use, displays better and as Ian said it is expandable in future.
Iv used the GPS unit for years, and while its not the most reliable of data (i think a simple wheel speed sensor would be more accurate).
Most of the time i use is Revs, Lateral G and speed. the track shape on the gps isnt that useful unless your in the wet or at a new track and trying different lines.

But anyway only other option is Pi and Unipro and neither are as good at displaying info on the display itself.
