As Ian (ITPRO) explained the Mychron kit is light years ahead of the Alfano Pro & Pro2 models with loads more expanadbility via the E box or the GPS module. However if you go down this route be prepared to be swamped with data unless you are in the luxurious position to have a PC savvy data engineer in your awning to interpret all of the info available. Also as Chris 34 pointed out there is little difference in the new or second hand price, Ł30 more expensive for the Mychron 4 than a current Alfano ProV2.
The only other options realistically are Unipro & PI systems which also have excellent data acquisition and PC software, but these also come with a price tag!
