Does anyone know which batch are OK out of the 1031's ? Is there any way to tell from the tyre markings which are which ?
Also, has anyone pinpointed why the 1031's are slower - do they improve if you scrub them in a bit ? I was wondering whether it's the compound that has changed or whether it is taking longer to get them up to a consistent temperature in the current weather to get rid of the releasing agent from the outer surface of the tyre ?
Perhaps running them for 10 to 20 laps on a reasonably dry track might help to scrub them in properly ?
Only asking as I recently bought a set of 1031's, but have yet to try them out in full wet conditions - We have been using some older inters at present in the 'damp' conditions that seem to be prevalent.
