I don't want to turn this onto a 4 stroke v 2 stroke thread but just putting another possible class forward for penniless father

If you are on a budget IMO Honda is a very sensible route

You do NOT need to spend silly money on Honda motors to be very competitive

Yes some motors change hands for silly money, the same will soon happen in iame but on a bigger scale I guess?

there are already iame motors being touted as very fast, very strong etc they have not yet turned a wheel in anger, LOL

The next karting money pit will soon be underway

We spent a few hundred on a non sp Honda (sp = special price) and have been very very much at the sharp end against "huge" motors and very good drivers

The iame is over £1000 you can nearly buy 2 competitive Honda motors for that

You can win in Honda for little outlay: fact
