Team Poor... Stick to the basic rule of thumb and you won't go far wrong.

Keep at least two wheels on the track at all times.

Unless...

1. You have a mechanical breakdown and need to drive off the track for safety reasons.

2. You need to avoid an incident or you are involved in a incident.

3. You make a driving error (Don't make a habit of this, it may be frowned upon).

4. Everyone is driving a particular kerb with all wheel off the track.

Now #4 is a bit more tricky than the others... You may find that the officials are ingoring the rules or the kerb riding is officially sanctioned i.e. we raced at Angerville in France at a CIK-FIA event, permission was given to drive over a particulary wide kerb for the event. The karts were a good half meter off the track.

Now most kart clubs / officials frown on drivers diving kerbs with all four wheels off the track, but this may not always be the case for every kerb at all clubs. If you see all drivers always taking a particular line with all wheels off the track you could think this was allowed!
