At drivers briefing at whilton they said that class's with minimum driver weights would be weighed without their rib protectors. However then also went on to say that these rip protectors would not be then weighed with the kart. One of the parents questioned this since then surely running with a rip/neck protector is a dissadvantage on weight since you drive round with it but are not weighed with it, the parent said that PFI had been told to revise it the week before to include the rip/neck protector in the kart weight, however the whilton COC said that he was going to keep to the first revision, which penalised the use of neck/rib protectors.
