After a race at Shenny last week my son was NOT asked to remove his rib protector. This week at Whilton he WAS asked to remove his rib protector and we came very close to a DQ as I had not planned for this.

Isn't the protector meant to be removed only when you are confirming the minimum weight of the driver, and not removed when trying to understand the total weight of the kart and driver.

MSA....clarity to your scruts please. I am happy to plan correctly if the rules are correctly passed on.
