Thanks for the reply;
it's not so much to do with where we race or what class or really even down to what our chassis is, but more the general point of at what stage would you say that the chassis you are currently on has come to the point where a new one would make a big difference.

In relation to our own circumstances, we are currently experiencing inconsistency with getting the best from the kart with any degree of certainty and it may just be that we are chasing what we think is a set up issue when in fact it actually comes down to the fact that the chassis is just not able to deliver now and a new one is the answer
we have a strong engine (TKM) and the driver has ability and when the kart goes well, it goes well - we can win heats and run with the quickest and have done so, but we just can't get that consistency from the whole package on a regular enough basis, so in the absence of any obvious things like tyres or broken parts or cracked chassis etc etc, is it just plain and simple time to get rid and buy new?

I hope that gives you a better idea of the point I am trying to get across
