We have been using MSA approved chassis protectors (kerb riders)for two years.
Yes they are fairly easy to fit- I think they came with long floor tray bolts.They save the chassis if that what you want- we run the same chassis for 2 years, where as some sell them off every 3 months.The protectors do scrape the kerbs so will scrub a little speed off.They weigh about a kilo- The only pain is that we have to remove the them if we jig the chassis.
A low chassis setting might cause a problem and also worn wets lower the ride height. Never tested if we are faster or slower with or without and in what conditions.
