I agree with RoadRat. I'd like to add a little piece though. Timed qualifying may improve driving standards in the short term but only while most of the drivers have driven mixed grids. Once we get to the point that no one has ever raced mixed grids then we'll see the driving drop drastically as no one has any idea how to overtake.
