MJC's advice is pretty good. However, I'd argue that a driver who is new to the: Chassis, Class, Engine and Setup-in-general will NOT notice the difference in a 5mm movement of the rear axle. MJC's principles are spot on.... it's just the degree of sensitivity of the driver that I 'dispute'.

Personally, I know very few drivers who can FEEL a movement of 5mm.... they TELL you they can... BUT..... if you move it by 5mms and DON'T tell them or if you TELL them you've moved it 5mm when you HAVEN'T... you'll get the answers based on what you TOLD them, not what you actually MOVED!

But... I am pretty damned cynical about drivers!
