Hi all, finally got the biland to the track on friday. Took it up to buckmore park. Its an 08 zip kart evo, running bridgestone YGB's at 10psi, was a pretty overcast day, not much sun. The rear hubs are pretty much in as far as they'l go, the fronts are out as far as they go, the front torsion bars in, the rear ones off.
Going through the two hairpins at buckmore, the kart was hopping severly, so much so it was causing the kart to bog down, and from what i understand with this engine, thats pretty bad? Going through one of the last corners (garda) before the left and then run up the hill and round past the cafe, the kart was hopping even worse, so much so it was starting to wind me, i had to slow down, get back into it before putting my foot down again.
Now my question is, how do i cure this? I've been told its to move the rear hubs out? The hubs have two bolts in each one so there designed to overhang i believe? Were my tyre pressures too low? Will moving my front hubs help?
Apart from the hopping this thing is mental! The sound, the feel, the pull, just everthing is savage! If you havent tried a biland its got to be on your to-do list! haha, Thanks for any help though, Thomas................
