I think what this shows is that in theory, the gas you use does have an effect on how your tyre pressures change when they heat up.
Though as I said in my first post, the changes are so small they'll be difficult to even measure, never mind notice. So although the science says 'yes, it makes a difference', the science also says 'the difference is too small for you to notice unless you're measuring everything very accurately'.
In other words, people like McLaren would probably concern themselves with type of air in the tyre as they've got the equipment and resources to realise the small gains available, but for 99.9% of us, we're not going to achieve much by looking into it.
