I believe you are experiencing the negative effects of thermoplasticity.
When the temps are close to zero, you will get a major reduction in durability on all manner of plastics.
I'm sure you've all noticed that nose cones do not take anything like the battering they do in summer at this time of year before they crack at the seams.
I wonder if MSA considered that when they did duty testing... (I am strongly guessing the answer "no")
Anyway - Gopro - sorry to say I would not think that the manufacurer would have any actual egal responsibility to replace a unit that has been damaged after use on a race vehicle under conditions the manufacturer can't control, but you might be lucky and they may want to keep their customers happy, or the dealer wo sold it to you might take it up with them and get a positive response.
