Also put him out on a wet setup wide at front (full out on the stubs) and narrow at rear (hubs 30mm in or more if poss) and if you have any offset wet rims put his dry tyres on them.
Also set his chassis high to rase his c.o.g.
till he finds his feet.
Has for gearing run a wet gearing for dry track to pull him out of the corners.

What your trying to do is build his confidence with a grippy setup you'll give him a fighting chance as for tyres I'd be going mid 30's this time of year, start him out on say mid 35 7/8 laps get him in have a feel of them, you've got nothing to lose. But to be honest it wont matter want you psi you put in them I doubt your lad will be able to get any heat in them until he's upto some kind of speed.


Karting is more of a disease than a sport, take a look at your bank balance now because if you get infected it will never be like that again....
