The zee 1 is thin or if you are up for a bit of work strip the felt back from where he is holding the wheel and shape the wheel to fit his hands then glue the felt back over.I've done it before and if you take some care the finished product looks standard.

A bit of geek info for you

zee 1 wheel is a 290mm diameter
circumference of 90mm

Gillard wheel 320mm diameter
circumference of 94mm

So going for a zee 1 will make the steering heavier
