2 stroke karts require more maintenance than 4 strokes.

Where as an arrive and drive place can leave their honda motors for months on end with hardly any maintenance with a 2 stroke they would have to be doing constant rebuilds. Which would increase costs to drive them.

Most people who do arrive and drive do it for fun and just do it to drive, and don't mind about what engine or the bit of extra speed of a 2 stroke. If the cost was to go up just to use slightly faster 2 strokes then most people would be detered from going.
