closed road motorsport on the UK mainland is not perrmitted by law and can only be changed by an act of parlement.

look at the MSA homepage as they have a campaign running just now to get this changed.

the only exception to this is the act of parlement that allows the Jim Clark Rally Stages to run on closed roads of roxburghshire near Jim Clarks hometown of Duns in the scottish borders.
this is a must do event for most rally licence holders
