We've run the Vegas against the Maxxis reds in the past and found that they are much quicker, this was on my sons JTKM 4/ . When very wet the Reds didn't wear much at all but as soon as the track starts to dry, they wear pretty quick, although this is the case with most wets.
You probably were a bit low with those pressures and the extra torque of the 4 stroke does cause extra wheelspin, however we've never had any fall apart like that, or deflate quickly ?
