if the predictions dont match the measurements then something is wrong in either the physics included, the detail of the model, the inputs or the measurement process.

karting aside, it is sometimes better to design something that can be better modelled and is more readily understood.

if you are having measurable work hardening effects then this is going to affect set-up and would be useful data alone
