It depends on how old you are. There comes a point in time where a race weekend is a much harder physical undertaking than it was when you were younger... which is the main reason most of us do less racing or stop altogether. If you enjoy your racing and you're under 40, then keep at it. There'll be plenty of opportunity to pay off your mortgage later on. Remember you can't turn back time.
