Two points on this :

o As has already been said, if the majority of drivers are using TonyKart derivatives, then those marques will have a greater probability of success. Because of that, more people will migrate to TonyKart chassis, increasing that probability even further. However, that just the law of statistics. It doesn't mean that the Tony is more effective than the Gillard.

o I find it quite difficult to believe a kart could 'go off' by almost a second a lap over the course of a day AND that the reason for this would be laid SOLELY at the door of the frame design and construction. However I haven't done back to back testing under exactly identical circumstances [e.g. same driver, track, weather, tyre batches etc...], so it may well be the case. If that is indeed the case, then precisely what in the design or construction is causing this.
