Many clutch drums will not spin freely as the old clutch drums with the new O ring bearing they will bind slightly. THIS IS NOT A PROBLEM! Just think about it for a moment. When the engine is running the crank is turning so the only time the bearing 'drag' will have any effect is when the engine is idling in the pit lane or below 3000 rpm at which point the clutch must be fully engaged to comply with Rotax regs. Hence above 3000 rpm the crank and drum are rotating at the same speed so the bearing is doing NOTHING other than supporting the engine sprocket. As an aside if using an 11T sprocket Rotax now produce an 11T with a cut out to allow clearance for the O ring which works very well. I know it may feel wrong if you previously ran rotax but just dont worry, as long as you have assembled the correct components in the correct order all will be fine.
