Winding in the track rods and winding out does not work! The reason for this is the steering column youlk (at the bottom of the column) is usually off set by 5mm. Measure it! neasure from the centre of each king pin to the column and you will see!

The best or other way of doing this correctly is taking off your hubs and pods. get the column as straight as possible and tracking as straight as poss. measure from the rear of the axle (inside edge) to the central dotted point on the stub where the nut does up!

What you need to do is get each side equal (i.e) 'lh' 1023mm from axle to centre of stub and 'rh' the same. when you do get this measurement equal, then retrack the tracking on the lasers to neutral toe. when you have both side measurements (axle to stub) the same and toe in neutral, it is correct. This will also stop crabbing.

The other simple way of doing it is using a steel rule like others posted across the column, get a axle and lay it across the stubs, then look along the stubs and axle (looking down) and make sure they are parralell with each other whilst the straight edge is entral.

sounds abit complicated, but very easy when you have done it once.
