What a wet day at Clay (and in Canada).

The whole race meeting was held in very wet conditions and all three heats and the finals were completed with no one hurt. I know it was uncomfortable for drivers, but I would like to thank all officials and marshals who made it possible and congratulate all drivers that completed the meeting.

I know the club had nine competitors pull out before the start and a few withdrew during the event - that is a shame because to be a complete and successful driver you need to learn kart control in these conditions.

I left the circuit at 8p.m. and when I got home I turned on the TV to find the result of the Canadian G.P. - no result on text, only information about 'team mates clashing'.

I went back to T.V. and found the G.P. was just about to restart and then watched probably one of the most interesting G.P's for years. From 21st to WIN with six pit stops - brilliant Jensen. Where did he learn to drive in wet conditions as an 8 year old - Clay Pigeon Raceway - says it all!
